Crime prevention advice

We have recently seen an increase in reports of vehicle interference and thefts from vehicles across the area. Whilst our enquiries are ongoing, we would like to offer some advice to residents about how to keep their vehicles and belongings safe.

- Ensure vehicle doors and windows are always locked and secure, even if it is only being left for a short period. 
- Do not leave any valuables, such as wallets or handbags, on display in the vehicle. 
- Park in a secure area if and when possible, even better if it is well lit and covered by CCTV. 
- Ensure car keys are kept out of sight and away from windows and doors within your property. 
- Consider security measures for your vehicle such as steering locks, tracking devices and alarms.
